Frequently Asked Questions

Am I a good candidate for semi-permanent brows?

The ideal skin type is normal to dry with no major health conditions. If you have oilier skin, you may be a better fit for a Powder Brow for longer-lasting results.

Who is not a good candidate?

For your safety and the best possible results, you should avoid semi-permanent brow services if you:

  • Are under 18

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have uncontrolled diabetes

  • Have a history of keloid scarring

  • Are currently taking Accutane (must be off for at least 12 months)

  • Have had an organ transplant

  • Have epilepsy

  • Have very oily skin

  • Have had Botox within the past 4 weeks

  • Regularly use tanning beds

  • Are sick with a cold or flu-like symptoms

  • Have tested positive or been exposed to COVID-19 within the last 3 weeks

Can I get brows done if I’m going through chemotherapy?

We recommend waiting at least six months after completing chemotherapy before booking an appointment. In certain cases, with a doctor’s written approval, services may be provided sooner. It’s best to schedule your appointment as far as possible from your most recent or upcoming treatment date.

Are semi-permanent brows the same as tattoos?

No. Semi-permanent brows are much gentler and more superficial than traditional tattoos. The pigment is deposited into the upper layers of the skin, allowing for soft, natural results that fade gradually over time.

Why do I need a 6–8 week touch-up?

Because pigment is placed closer to the skin’s surface, some fading is completely normal after your first appointment. The touch-up allows us to perfect the color, shape, and definition once your brows have fully healed.

Are the treatments painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort. A topical numbing cream is used to keep you comfortable throughout the process.

How long do appointments take?

  • Nano or Powder Brows: 2–2.5 hours

  • Combination Brows: 2.5–3 hours

  • Touch-ups: 1.5–2 hours

Can you touch up or cover work done by another artist?

Possibly. Please send a clear photo of your current brows (without makeup) before booking. If there is significant scarring, discoloration, or asymmetry, I may recommend removal or correction elsewhere before we proceed.

What should I expect after my appointment?

Mild redness and swelling on day one are normal and fade within 24 hours. Brows will appear darker for the first few days, then begin to soften and flake around days 5–7. Full healing takes about 10 days.

How long will my brows last?

  • Microblading: 8–12 months

  • Nano or Powder Brows: 1–1.5 years

  • Longevity depends on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare.

Who determines my brow shape?

We do it together. Every brow design is custom-mapped to enhance your features. No work begins until you’re completely happy with the shape.

Do you offer consultations?

Yes — a full consultation is included in every appointment. We’ll discuss your goals, preferred style, and which technique best suits your skin type and lifestyle. You’re welcome to bring brow inspiration photos!

Can I bring someone with me?

You’re welcome to bring a friend, but please note they’ll need to wait in the lounge area during your appointment for hygiene and focus reasons.

Can I wear makeup to my appointment?

Yes, but please avoid applying anything on or around your brow area. We’ll cleanse the area before mapping.

Do I need to wax or thread my brows beforehand?

No need! Please avoid waxing or threading for at least one week prior to your appointment.
